About Silver Snout Center

Founded by rescuers. Rooted in compassion. Built for senior dogs who deserve to be honored.

Who We Are

We don't just care for dogs, we honor them.

At Silver Snout Center, we believe that every dog deserves love, dignity, and comfort, especially in their golden years. Founded by husband and wife team Derek and Chelle, their story began in 2021 with a simple act of love: fostering senior-aged dogs.

It didn't take long before their hearts, and their home, were filled with a passion for caring for senior and special needs pups who needed a soft place to land.

By 2022, that passion had grown into action with the launch of their own nonprofit senior dog rescue. Since then, Derek and Chelle have rescued and cared for hundreds of senior-aged and special needs dogs, offering medical care, companionship, and a second chance at life.

In 2025, they took their mission one step further by founding Silver Snout Wellness Group and opening the Silver Snout Center, a safe, specialized boarding space designed specifically for senior aged and special needs dogs.

When your dog stays with us, they become part of our family.

We know that trusting someone with your senior dog is a big deal. Everything we do is rooted in compassion, experience, and transparency.
